All you need to do is cross the bridge to go directly to the Tête d'Or Park for a family outing or take the artistic-looking climb of the Grande Côte to reach the city center. The bohemian village-like neighborhood is very commercial; you will find amenities such as grocery stores, bars, restaurants, etc nearby.
