How to get to my accommodation in Nice on arrival
I have chosen to arrive by air
Upon arriving at the airport, a wide choice of transport is available to you to get to your apartment:
The tram – The best value: Line 2 will depart in front of terminals 1 & 2, serving the entire city on the Sea Side, from the airport to Nice Port, in 25 minutes. All stations pass through Fabron, Grosso & Gambetta for the Flowers district, Alsace Lorraine and Jean Médecin for the Musicians, Gold or Masséna districts, the Pine district and finally the Port district.
A connection with line 1 is made at JEAN MÉDECIN Station.
A connection with line 3 is made at GRAND ARÉNAS Station.
Taxis: The most direct: They are present at each terminal 1 & 2. 15 minutes will be enough to drop you off directly at your apartment. There is a fixed official rate that must be applied + the baggage charge. Make sure you enquire and specify it to the driver; he cannot refuse you. Normally, the cost is payable by credit card.
The bus: The airport shuttle (bus 98) is both cheap and convenient. It runs every twenty minutes during the day and will drop you off in the city centre, near Nice Thiers Station.
I chose to arrive by train
The tram – The best value: To get to line no. 1, exit on the left of the station and head down towards Avenue Thiers until Avenue Jean Médecin (it is indicated by signage). Trams pass every five minutes and the ticket is inexpensive. Line 1 serves the city centre and the two northern districts of Nice.
A connection with line 3 is made at GRAND ARÉNAS Station.
A connection with Line 2 (Airport / Port) is at JEAN MÉDECIN Station.
Taxis: The most direct: 15 minutes will be enough to drop you off directly at your apartment. There is no fixed rate. The driver must compulsorily activate his meter before leaving the station. You will only have to pay the fare displayed on arrival + the baggage rate. Make sure to enquire and specify it to the driver; he cannot refuse you. Normally, the cost is payable by credit card.
