Summary: Staying here gives you a chance to live a day or two in a house that has the ambiance of old stone houses, but the interior of a modern stylish home. Its quirky interior features a large comfortable bed that you enter from the head end. Since the owner was an ocean sailor, he wanted the bed to feel a little like you are sleeping in the prow of a boat. A sitting area and dining area just outside the house make it fun to be outside there. When I rented the house, I had envisioned it being off by itself, but it is adjacent to a similar, larger home where the owner lives. This turned out to be a help because the owner went out of his way to provide whatever I asked for while his nephew, who spoke better English, helped me find places to walk and things to drive to see in the surrounding countryside. In one walk toward a little nearby town, I saw separately: white horses, black bulls, vineyards, olive groves, shaded forest. If you want to get a feel for what it's like outside of the larger cities or suburbs in that region, you'd like staying in this little house.
