The Gorges du Verdon are a natural wonder located in Provence, on the border of the departments of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Var. Nicknamed the "Grand Canyon of Europe", this spectacular site was dug by the Verdon River over millennia.

The largest canyon in Europe: With limestone cliffs up to 700 metres deep, the Gorges stretch 25 kilometres.
