Originally built in the 18th century, this beautiful modernized Mas style estate in the charming town of Villecroze, in the Var department, South of France, is located in a rural area surrounded by vineyards, small medieval towns, and lavender fields. The Villa is 45 mins from the nearest beach, 30 mins from Lake Sainte Croix, 1 hour 20 mins from Nice, Cannes, Montecarlo, and rest of the French Riviera. It comes fully equipped with a large living room/TV family room with fireplace, large dining room with fireplace, breakfast/laundry area, kitchen, outdoor covered terrace, beautiful pool fully equipped with deck chairs, umbrellas, outdoor dining set, outdoor living room, lounge area, and barbecue patio. The house has 6 bedrooms that include 1 queen size bed, 3 king size beds, 6 twin beds, and 2 sofa single sleepers - all American size beds. The estate is large and full of different indoor and outdoor spaces, including a pétanque court, creating multiple environments for different guests to feel they have their own space to enjoy the Villa.

Summary: We were a group of 3 families who have been holidaying together for years. We found the house to be comfortably furnished throughout and the intended addition of airconditioning will be a great bonus. The smaller sofa bed room especially would benefit from this and the rooms closest to the road as there is quite a bit of traffic noise with the windows open. Bit of a hairy road to walk to town!Kitchen is great and very helpful to have two dishwashers and the kettle, toaster and cereal zone separate from the main kitchen for the kids and to slow traffic in the main kitchen. I think that given many families will want to cook when there it would benefit from some big casserole dishes, a proper roasting tin, box grater, salad spinner and some more teaspoons etc. The dining room was great on the day is was too windy to eat outside. We were a tad fearful of all the warnings about the white sofas and the potential fines so suggest some covers for these if you are using them for a rental property as we spent the week with sheets across all furniture in the sitting areas. Loved pool and outside space. Lots of room for everyone to relax, play petanque and find quiet spaces to read. Replaced battery in smoke alarm in hall at bottom of main stairs. Picture in room 3 we left off the wall as it fell off the wall onto a child's hand causing some nasty bruising. We feel it needs to be attached more securely so can't slip off the hook in future. Thanks very much for a great week!
