Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Great location to explore downtown Ste Mere Eglise. Parking spaces were free and nearby. 8 euro supplement for my dog. I stayed for 1 night, from 24 to 25 Dec so the neighborhood was quiet, and most things were not open - including the hotel's restaurant (no meals available). Okay sized room with most space taken up by the double bed but the bed was comfortable. Nice private bathroom. I had to call to have the reception opened to get my key, but they were quick to answer my phone call and open up to get me checked in. No problem using English for our discussion (not French).

Negative: Since this location is downtown, near a major intersection for the town, I'm not certain how loud it would be in the rooms during the busier summer months. Also in the summer, there are more restaurants open - very few at this time of the year were open. Thank goodness I did not have a large suitcase since the external staircase, with a small spiral in it, would have been difficult to navigate, or to store any large bags in the room. To get wifi, you have to enter your email address so I did not (I already am on enough email spam lists) and had to use my cell plan access.

Summary: Convenient location. Great value.
